Who Lianas is for
Lianas is a sovereign personal assistant with a memory you control. This page is about who it is built for, and why it is worth paying for.
A finished product, not a toolkit
Lianas is a personal assistant you talk to, that remembers you, and acts across every device you own. It is hosted, supported and accountable, operated from Switzerland.
AI is the engine under the hood, never something you have to wire together or operate yourself. You never open a terminal. You sign in and it works.
Who it is for
People who want their privacy back
You want a capable daily assistant, but you refuse US-cloud data practices and you will not run your own server. Lianas keeps your data in Switzerland by default and shows you exactly where it goes.
People who value their time
You could assemble something yourself, but you would rather pay to have it hosted, maintained and accountable. Bring your own provider keys and let Lianas handle the memory, the devices and the support.
People who want it to remember
You want an assistant that builds on what it already knows about you, session after session, and that lets you see and edit that memory rather than hiding it.
Teams that need a data path they can sign off on
Later, for organizations: an assistant with an audit trail, moderation and automated retention already built in, run by a company answerable under Swiss and EU law.
Who it is not for
If you love running your own infrastructure, living in a terminal and self-hosting every service, Lianas is not aimed at you, and that is perfectly fine. There are excellent open-source agents built for exactly that way of working.
Lianas exists for the people who want the result without operating the machine: the assistant, the memory and the multi-device experience, hosted and kept running for them.
Why people pay
The code can be free. The service is not. A subscription does not buy you a capability you could not get elsewhere, it buys you the things that are genuinely hard to do yourself:
- Zero ops: nothing to install, update, secure or babysit.
- Predictable cost: a subscription with an allowance sized for normal use, and a simple pay-as-you-go top-up if you ever go over. You pay for usage in plain terms, never a raw per-token meter.
- An accountable entity: a real company responsible for your data under Swiss and EU law.
- Maintained security: the audit pipeline, moderation and retention controls are kept current, not your problem.
- One integrated experience: voice, apps and notifications across every device, built to work together.
It is the same reason people pay for a hosted password manager instead of self-hosting a vault, for a media service instead of wiring their own server, for a managed code host instead of running their own. You are paying for the convenience, the accountability and the polish, not for the raw capability.
